Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in the on-going quest to discover new and more effective treatments for often incurable diseases.
New compounds are rigorously investigated in the clinical laboratory setting prior to human clinical trials.
At Chiltern we have a reputation for carrying out the highest quality clinical research. All studies undertaken are conducted by highly trained staff and are continuously monitored. During any clinical trial, safety and good clinical practice are our primary concerns.
All volunteers are seen by one of our medical doctors to ensure that they are fit for the studies they wish to volunteer in. In addition, every clinical study must receive full approval from an Independent Research Board or Ethics Committee before it begins.
